Voyager Academy is a fully accredited K-12 charter school. The mission of Voyager Academy is to provide students in kindergarten through grade twelve an academically challenging and supportive learning environment. Staff utilizes experiential and traditional learning strategies so that students become responsible, engaged, and innovative members of society. The school’s expectation is that all students, working with dedicated faculty and family, will excel academically and socially.

Advanced Academics
Advanced Placement
Voyager Academy High School offers the following Advanced Placement courses (subject to demand).
Arts: AP Studio Art
English: AP Language and Composition; AP Literature and Composition
Math: AP Calculus AB; AP Statistics
Science: AP Chemistry; AP Environmental Science; AP Biology.
Social Studies: AP US History; AP U.S. Government; AP European History; AP Human Geography
For the 2020-21 academic year, 46% of AP exams taken, resulted in a score of 3 or above (i.e., eligible for university credit).
Career and College Promise (enrollment in community college while at VAHS)
Via CCP, VAHS 11th and 12th graders may enroll in Durham Technical Community College courses. Students may obtain university transfer credit, up to an associate degree, and/or work toward an industry certification (e.g. paralegal, computer networking, autotechnology, fire protection, etc.).

Voyager Academy High School Arts Curriculum and Accomplishments

Athletics
- 31 athletic teams in 12 different sports for Men and Women
- In 2019 6 of the top 10 highest GPA of graduating seniors were student-athletes
- More than 42 Students have continued their athletic and academic careers at the college level. Highlighted by a member of the 2019 Basketball NCAA Championship Team and another that was 2019 All American who drafted and signed with the MLB Los Angeles Angels.
- 68% of high school students play at least one sport
- 1A state championship in Men’s Basketball – 2016

- Regional Champions –Baseball, Men’s Cross Country
- Regional Finalist – Wrestling, and Men’s Tennis
- Athletic Department Finished 7th in Wells Fargo Cup in 2017, 12th in 2018, and 11th in 2019
- Individual State Champions in XC, Track, Wrestling, and Swimming
- Men’s Soccer won the 1A State Championship while Cross Country finished 3rd at the 1A State Championship the highest cross-country finish in school’s history
