Two-hour Delay

Good evening Voyager families,

Thank you all for your patience and understanding today off the unexpected inclement weather and our desire to keep families and staff safe.
In an abundance of caution we will continue to follow our surrounding counties’ plans and we will operate on a two-hour delay to allow the sun to rise and to reassess any emergencies if they should come up.
We are aware that some of you may travel further and may have some safety concerns and we encourage you to be safe and to make the best decision for your family in returning tomorrow.  We will excuse absences again if you are unable to transport your children for any reason.
We will not hold early care but we do plan to have aftercare and after school activities if all goes well.
As you know we create a stacked calendar so we do not plan to have to make up any time yet.  We will watch the winter weather carefully and we will adjust instructional time if needed in the future.

Weather Update – Flooding

Good morning everyone,

As you know we have continued to follow the DPS inclement weather policy and plans. However this morning we are aware that many families and staff are experiencing flooded roads and some dangerous travel.

Please be aware that any tardy or absence will be excused for the day. Please also expect that some schedules may be modified or changed during the day to accommodate for any staff that are also late or unable to make it safely to our school. Safety is our number one priority and we will do everything we can to operate today as safely as possible.

Hurricane Florence UPDATE

Voyager will be closed on both Thursday 9/13 and Friday 9/14. This is a change to the previous announcement that we would dismiss three hours early on 9/13.

Special Board Meeting

A special call meeting regarding a personnel matter will take place on Thursday, Sept. 6th at 6:00 in the conference room on C Hall in the HS.
