Elementary School
Students in grade K-3
Voyager Academy Elementary School serves approximately 400 students in Kindergarten -Third Grade. Voyager Academy is a North Carolina Public Charter School that began in 2007. This year students entering K- 3 will have the opportunity to experience Voyager's project-based learning model in a small, nurturing setting with the guidance of dedicated and professional staff.
Middle School
Students in grades 4-8
Voyager Academy Middle School serves approximately 500 students across grades 4-8. VAMS is a North Carolina Public Charter School that began in 2007 with the goal of providing students an academically challenging and supportive learning environment. Staff utilizes experiential and traditional learning strategies so that students become responsible, engaged, and innovative members of society. The school’s expectation is that all students, working with dedicated faculty and family, will excel academically and socially. Since 2007, VAMS has grown to become a recognized project-based learning model school and continues to be dedicated to helping all students excel in their academic goals and real world pursuits.
High School
Students in grades 9-11
Voyager Academy High School is excited to announce the addition of the 11th grade for the 2012-2013 school year! Currently, VAHS serves approximately 300 students in grades 9 through 11 and will grow by one grade level each year until 2013-2014 when it will serve 400 students across grades 9-12. VAHS is dedicated to providing: a safe and orderly learning environment; a rigorous academic preparation for college and future careers; a concentration in business and marketing including service, ethics, entrepreneurship, finance, creative thinking, collaboration, and public speaking which students will be able to apply in their various collegiate and career choices; and increased student choice and greater personal responsibility.
