Voyager Academy High School Summer Camps

Sharp Shot Basketball (Directed by Coach Mike Huff)

Dates: August 5-9 (Monday-Friday)

Time:
12:30-3:00 - Basketball Basics (Boys and Girls in rising grades Kindergarten - 4) This is a basic skills camp for young players to begin to learn the fundamentals of basketball. There will also be contests and games daily.

3:15-6:15- Total Player Camp (Boys and Girls in rising grades 5-8) Campers will receive intensive training in basketball fundamentals during the first two hours of each session. The last hour will feature competitive games.

6:30-8:30- Advanced Offensive Skills (Boys and Girls in rising grades 8-12) Shooting and Offensive Skills Camp - this camp is designed for more advanced players who want to improve their shooting accuracy and ability to score the basketball.

Basketball Basics $90.00
Total Player Camp $125.00
Advanced Offensive Skills $100.00

Mike Huff has been both a player and a coach at the college, high school, and international levels. He has been running basketball camps for more than 25 years. Coach Huff is also the Director of NBC Camps NC, and runs NBC's camp at Elon University.

Summer Tutoring with Ms. Walls

Summer Enrichment with Ms. Allen and Mr. McGill

Greetings from Mrs. Allen and Mr. McGill. We are excited about the upcoming completion of our first year here at Voyager and would like to offer a summer enrichment program for your child. The program will be held at Voyager Middle School in Room 121 from 9:00am-1:00pm,Monday-Thursday.

Voyager Academy Elementary School Summer Camp Guide


All camp sessions are held at:

Voyager Academy High School
4302 Ben Franklin Blvd
Durham, NC 27704

Each camp session runs 9am until 3pm daily with a cost of $250 per camper per session. There is a $20 discount for additional siblings attending a camp during the same session.

Each camper will need to bring a bag lunch and a snack daily.

Eligible ages are noted with each camp description.

All camp instructors are Voyager Academy Elementary School teachers.

VAES Summer Camp FAQs

How do I register my child for summer camp at Voyager Academy?

  • You will need to contact the instructor of the camp directly to register. Information is listed with the individual camps. 
  • If the camp you are interested in is full, you will be put on a waiting list by the instructor of the camp.
  • Payment? Camp deposits are $100 per camp session and are non- refundable. All camp balances are due by June 8, 2012. A confirmation email of enrollment will be sent
    to you by the instructor of the camp.

Once I register with the instructor how do I get a receipt?

  • The camp instructor will send you a receipt of payment once a deposit and then final payment is made.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Voyager Academy reserves the right to cancel or alter any program. Camp deposits will only be refunded if Voyager Academy cancels a camp.

What is your camp behavior policy?

  • Parents understand that the camper’s attendance at summer camp is contingent upon the camper meeting Voyager Academy’s standards of acceptable behavior and sportsmanship. A camper may be asked to leave the camp should they not follow the acceptable behavior or sportsmanship policy of Voyager Academy.
